I started my artistic work in Germany approximately 20 years ago. My first step was to learn how to use watercolors for two years, but I found out it wasn’t my choice of medium at this time. After that I explored oil, acrylic, and soft pastel for a couple of years. I currently work most of the time in pastel, Chinese brush painting (water color), and sometimes in oil.
I also have had training in drawing, sculpture, and ceramics at American River College. In 2014, I stared sculpture classes at California State University, Sacramento with clay, wire, plaster, and welding process.
In 2012 I entered a drawing in my first art show, in a gallery in Sacramento. In 2014 my second piece was shown at the Crocker museum. It was a collage made out of paper, magazine, or fabric for the Education Department at the Crocker museum. In 2016 again I had a group show in the Crocker Museum with Brush Paintings. In 2015 and 2016, I showed some drawings, acrylic paintings, watercolor, and pastel paintings in the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center. Every year I participate in the November / December Small Treasure Series at the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center, creating small panels with any medium of my choosing.
