What I like the most about being an artist is to have a vision and be able to execute it so that when someone sees my piece they are able to share my vision.
I find working with fused glass exciting, because it is not totally predictable. You can accidentally end up with something that is so beautiful and/or unexpected. Modifying the same design using different glass combinations leads to limitless possibilities.
I have attend numerous art classes at Cosumnes River College, UC Davis, and private instruction from specific artists.
I enjoy the act of creation. I also create ceramics pieces, fabric art, dimensional art, and painting in various mediums.
Ghost Dog, Fused Glass: I love dogs. I recently lost Tinkerbelle, my best friend and agility partner. When the heart break was the hardest to bear, I dreamed of her telling me that she would always be with me and never leave me. This piece represents an expression of that dream. I find myself frequently creating a piece which reflects what is happening in my life.
