FIRST SATURDAY RECEPTION: "HAPPINESS IS WARM COLOR IN THE SHADE" - FEATURING THE ART OF MILFORD ZORNES - INCLUDING READINGS FROM HIS NEW BIOGRAPHY BY AUTHOR HAL BAKER

Join us for our 1st Saturday Art Reception, May 5th, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, featuring the art of Milford Zornes and featured author Hal Baker.

We are excited to be Hosting this exhibit featuring the renowned California artist, Milford Zornes.  Milford Zornes, 1908 - 2008, is best known for his vibrant watercolor scene paintings.  His work is found in many collections and museums, including the White House, The Library of Congress Collection and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

At the reception on May 5th, Milford Zornes' daughter, Maria Baker, will be speaking about his life and art.  Her husband, Hal Baker, who is the author of the latest Milford Zornes Biography:  "Happiness is Warm color in the Shade", will be presenting selected readings from the book.

The show will run from May 5th through May 23rd.  The Arts Center Gallery is open from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, Wednesday through Saturday.

Come to the Art Reception to meet the artists!  Take part in our on-going Tile Fundraising event.  Glaze a tile for installation on the entrance walls of the gallery.  Four wall sections are completed, one more to go!

This event is free to the public with live music, refreshments and free parking on the south side of Elk Grove Boulevard at School Street.
