JOURNEY OF HOPE 2017 SHOW: Real Life Stories of Living with Mental Health Issues Portrayed through Art

The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is excited to be partnering with the Sacramento County Division of Behavioral Health Services, and The Stop Stigma Speakers Bureau to bring this amazing event to the public.  The purpose of this event is to share real life stories of hope and recovery to give others insight, inspiration, understanding, strength, connection and to raise awareness.  Story writers submit their experiences with mental health challenges and their journey to recovery.  Each story is given to a local artist to portray the writer's story through art.  Finished STORIES and ART PIECES are exhibited together at a free month-long exhibit at the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center, open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  The show will run until October 7th through October 21st
