FIRST SATURDAY ART RECEPTION: Journey of Hope 2017 - Life Stories of Living with Mental Health Challenges Portrayed Through Art

Join us for our 1st Saturday art reception featuring the artists and writers of our Journey of Hope exhibit!  The show will highlight the collaborative pairing of local artists with writers who are sharing personal stories of struggle, hope and recovery with mental health challenges.  The unique expressive styles of the participating artists will be matched with the writers to create artistic portrayals of these stories.  This show will be an amazing display of insight, inspiration, understanding, strength and connection.  For more information, go to our Journey Of Hope page HERE!  The show will run until October 21st.

Community Artists and EGFAC Member Artists will also be showing and selling a variety of original artwork.

Enjoy refreshments and meeting the artists and authors.  The Elk Grove Fine Arts Center is partnering with Sacramento County Division of Behavioral Sciences, and the Stop Stigma Speakers Bureau to bring this event to the public.  The event is free with free parking south side of Elk Grove Boulevard at School Street.  For more information, call (916) 685-5992, email egfinearts@frontiernet.net
