FIRST SATURDAY ART RECEPTION: Monterey Trails High School Student Show

Join us for our 1st Saturday art reception, featuring  the Art Students of Monterey Trails High School..  Annually we honor a different High School in Elk Grove’s district as a way to celebrate National Youth Art Month. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet these talented young students and enjoy some refreshments, live music, and of course, impressive artwork!  The show runs April 2nd through April 26th.  Click HERE for our reception flyer!

Monterey Trail High School was established in 2004. The Visual Arts Department started in its first year with Art 1 and Ceramics 1 offered as elective courses and has grown to include beginning and advanced level courses in art, ceramics, graphic design, and photography and also offers a mixed media class as well.

During the reception, Arts Center members and Community Artists will be showing and selling a new variety of art media.  Also featured that evening will be our ongoing TILE GLAZING FUNDRAISER.   Come out to SUPPORT THE ARTS for $15 per tile.  Donate your hand glazed tile for installation on front entry walls, three walls completed and two more to go.

This event is free to the public with music by Gregg Matson, refreshments and free parking lot south side of Elk Grove Boulevard at School Street.  For more information, call (916) 685-5992, email
