All of our Kid's and Teen's Workshops are taught by EGFAC member artist, Sonja Binner. Sonja is an accomplished local artist, whose degree is in Art Education. To learn more about Sonja, click HERE.
After School on Thursdays 3:30-5:30, and mornings on Sundays 10:00am-Noon

all materials will be provided by instructor.
ACRYLICS: students will explore acrylic painting, including brush and palette knife techniques. Instruction will include elements of color, texture, light and shadow, balance and design.
cartooning: a drawing technique that incorporates the use of comics's figures with speech bubbles to create a narrative. students will explore a variety of expressions and unique characterizations to create form, such as funny, sad, happy faces and different body movements.
mixed media/collage: A visual art process using more than one art medium: acrylic paint, watercolor, magazine photos, all applied to the surface to represent the artist's theme students may bring photos and their own ideas to incorporate in the artwork.
PASTELS: Students will learn the basics of soft pastel application and blending to achieve a luminous depth of color and texture.
printmaking: Relief Printmaking is a process consisting of cutting into the printing surface to leave a relief surface with the design desired. It is an ancient style going back to 15th Century Germany and China. Wood will be available for more advanced students and each student will go home with a unique finished piece of art.
sculpture: using clay learn the basic techniques of slab, coil, and modeling construction.
watercolor: Students will explore painting with Watercolor paints, such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry and dry-on-dry brush techniques.
Classes Cancellation Policy:
If cancellation of your paid attendance is made more than 48 hours prior to the start time of a workshop or class, a credit towards another workshop, class or gallery purchase will be issued. If cancellation is within 48 hours of the scheduled activity, credit will be given at the discretion of the EGFAC. There is no cash refund within 48 hours of the scheduled activity unless the EGFAC cancels the workshop due to low attendance or instructor illness.
