So much more goes into a portrait painting than merely copying a photo.  6-million people a year are drawn to the Mona Lisa at the Louvre in France.  Human experience unveils that people are drawn to painting so much more than a photo. Students will need to bring #2B and #4B pencils, a sketchhpad, 11x15 140-lb cold press paper or block pad, 1/2” to 1” flat brush, #2, #6, and #8 brushes (rounds, synthetic, or natural), a palette, paints (intense red, yellow, and blue), WC Board (Gator Board), a water container, paper towels, and artist tape.

Learn Telagio’s layered approach and details to create your dramatic watercolor portrait painting.  He will work with you one-on-one throughout the workshop to explore your own artistic self in portrait painting.  The workshop is open to all levels.
